Project Pick Up

Need to pick up your project? There are a few options available:
  • Stop by during a class in the Greenhouse. Our schedule does vary weekly, so please double check the calendar beforehand, but we're there almost daily!
  • Stop by during Lanza's retail hours. This option is only available from early March through late October since the farm is seasonal. PLEASE DO NOT CALL LANZA'S ABOUT YOUR PROJECT. While the retail employees can let you into the greenhouse to pick up your project, they are separate from Anchor & Bloom and can not assist in answering any questions.

  • Have your projects left in the Pick-Up Box! We created a designated space that can be accessed at anytime. Your projects are kept safe from inclement weather and monitored 24/7. **Please reach out directly to Stephanie from Anchor & Bloom at least 1 day prior to estimated pick-up to ensure your projects are moved safely to the box** You can text 908-482-0964 or send an email to events@urbananchordesign.com

  • Please only come to pick up clay and ceramic projects if you have been notified that they are ready to to picked up. If you have questions about the process or feel you missed the your notifications, please reach out to Stephanie by text 908-482-0964 or email events@urbananchordesign.com We will NOT send out notifications for resin projects that are left to dry - all resin projects can be picked up the next day.

  • Due to space limitations, we do ask that projects are picked up within 30 days of being notified. We understand life happens, so if you can't make it within that time frame, please let us know.

Clay Projects

ALL Clay Projects require 2-3 weeks to complete the kiln firing process. Clay must be fully dry prior to firing. Rushing this process will result in projects exploding due to excess moisture in the clay.

Each project has a different firing schedule due to size of project and type of clay used. Excessive rainy/snowy weather will add extra time to this due to a damp atmosphere.

Resin Projects

While all resin projects can go home the same day, we do give students the option to leave them overnight to dry.

We use a food safe, self curing resin that takes approximately 24 hours to cure to the touch.

Resin projects can be picked up anytime the day after the original class. We will NOT send out pick-up notifications for resin projects.

Ceramic Projects

ALL Ceramic Projects require 1-2 weeks to complete the kiln firing process. Once complete, all items are food and dishwasher safe (top rack only) We do recommend hand washing large platters.

Each project has a different firing timeline due to size and quantity of projects; for example small items like ornaments and mugs may be ready in as little as 2-3 days, while larger items such as platters may take up to the full 2 weeks.
